20th Century Studios releases final trailer for Alien: Romulus, promising a chilling return to the series’ roots

20th Century Studios has unveiled the final trailer for its upcoming sci-fi/horror film, Alien: Romulus, which is slated for release on 16th August 2024. The film, promising a return to the chilling essence of the original Alien series, will be shown exclusively in cinemas, including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX and ScreenX formats.

Directed and written by Fede Alvarez, known for his work on Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe, and produced by Ridley Scott, who has been a seminal figure in the Alien franchise, Alien: Romulus explores the harrowing encounter of young space colonisers with a deadly alien creature aboard a derelict space station. The ensemble cast includes Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

The film is part of the long-standing Alien franchise, which has been a cornerstone of 20th Century Studios, a company with a rich history in producing acclaimed theatrical and streaming releases. The studio, previously known as 20th Century Fox before its acquisition by The Walt Disney Company, has been responsible for iconic franchises and blockbuster films spanning several decades.
