Roka partners with Casamigos for their own summer terrace experience

Roka, the Japanese robatayaki restaurant located on Charlotte Street in London, has launched a new terrace experience this summer, featuring a collaboration with the alcoholic beverage brand Casamigos, part of Diageo. The partnership introduces a bespoke Casamigos Yatai counter and a Kakigori machine to the restaurant’s terrace, available from now until the end of summer 2024.

The installation is part of Roka’s celebrations marking its 20th anniversary. The counter and Kakigori machine, which is used to make a traditional Japanese shaved ice dessert, will be operational from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, Wednesday to Saturday, coinciding with the restaurant’s Shochu Hour. During this time, guests can enjoy a complimentary Casamigos Tequila kakigori. Additionally, a menu of specially crafted cocktails and an exclusive Casamigos Tequila flight are on offer.

The cocktail selection includes creations such as the Kinkan Paloma, made with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, kumquat, yuzu kosho, sweet potato shochu, lime, agave, and soda, and the Spicy Okinawa, blending Casamigos Blanco Tequila with sesame, chilli, bergamot liqueur, lime, and agave. Other highlights entails concoctions the like of Shiso Collins and the Hiros Club, featuring a variety of spirits and particular ingredients.

The full Shochu Hour menu, which can be order for al fresco dining, also presents dishes such as Crispy Prawn, avocado and dark sweet soy maki, and Lamb Cutlets with Korean spices.

Azumi Limited is an award-winning global restaurant business with proven brands offering contemporary dining in key cosmopolitan locations. Created by Rainer Becker, and co-founded with Arjun Waney, Azumi’s journey began with the opening of Zuma London in 2002. This was quickly followed by Roka London in 2004. There are now 22 Zuma and 12 Roka around the world.

Casamigos was founded by long-time friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Discovery Land Company CEO & founder Michael Meldman. Launched in 2013, these small batch, ultra-premium tequilas are made from the finest hand-selected 100% Blue Weber agaves grown in the rich red clay soil and cool climate of Mexico’s Jalisco Highlands for a minimum of seven years.

The terrace provides a vibrant setting for guests for an enjoyable experience, with the spirit of Japanese street food culture brought to life through the Yatai stall.
