Plant-based KIN restaurant opens in Fitzrovia

New plant-based dining restaurant KIN has recently opened its doors on Foley Street in Fitzrovia, London. An expansion of the popular KIN Café, the project caters to a variety of dietary preferences including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and flexitarian options.

Executive Chef Shayan Shams is at the helm of KIN Restaurant’s kitchen, introducing a menu that emphasizes bold, flavourful dishes made from sustainably sourced ingredients. The selection of small plates includes Silky Sweet Potato with Vegan Parmesan and Butter, Carrot and Chickpea Hummus finished with a drizzle of truffle oil, Charred Ponzu-roasted Cabbage, and Broad Bean Croquettes with butter bean and dill cream. For those seeking heartier options, the restaurant presents an array of larger plates, among which there’s the Miso-Glazed Aubergine, Courgette and Pistachio Spaghetti with Vegan Burrata and Heirloom Tomatoes, and a falafel plate served with mango dip, fresh salad, and mini pita.

The dessert list entails an Avocado, Lime, and Pistachio Cheesecake, as well as a Chocolate Fondant accompanied by raspberry sorbet and a hint of chilli jam.

For what regards the drinks menu, there are waste-free cocktails, a curated selection of craft beers and lagers, and Wild Thing Organic Prosecco. This particular Prosecco supports animal welfare, with a portion of proceeds from each bottle sold going to the Born Free Foundation to aid in conservation and the humane treatment of animals globally.

The design of KIN Restaurant complements its sister site, KIN Café, featuring natural materials and colours with timber flooring, olive green banquette seating, and a striking bar with brass detailing. Additionally, the restaurant offers an intimate private dining area downstairs that can accommodate up to six guests.

KIN Restaurant aims to provide inclusive, thoughtfully prepared dishes that appeal to all, regardless of dietary restrictions.
