“It’s a farewell to the main story, but maybe not to Las Colinas”: Cristó Fernandez, Rafael Cebrián and Jaime Camil on Acapulco season four

In Acapulco’s fourth and final season, we say goodbye to Maximo, the greatest storyteller of them all. The last ten episodes focus not only on the moment when he says goodbye to Las Colinas in 1986, but also on the present day, during which Maximo attempts to bring the hotel back to its previous reputation and reconcile with his old love, Julia. Done with wit and heart, this season is a flawless adieu to Apple TV+’s Mexican hit.

The Upcoming spoke with Fernandez, Ted Lasso’s star, who plays Maximo’s son-in-law. He discussed the challenges of landing comedy in two languages and what we can expect from his character this season.

Rafael Cebrián told us what is on the cards for his character, the legendary Hector, and why he thinks audiences treasure Acapulco so much.

Jaime Camil gave us some insight into his character’s arc this time around, what Acapulco means to him and what shooting the show was like.
