Dante extends Claridge’s residency to New Year with NYC-inspired fare in London

Acclaimed New York restaurant and cocktail bar, Dante has confirmed it will extend its collaboration with Claridge’s in London until 31st December. The partnership, which began as a summer residency, will now continue throughout the autumn and festive season at the Mayfair hotel, offering a menu inspired by classic New York dining and seasonal British produce. Simon Attridge, culinary director at the London venue, said: “Dante has brought a unique energy to Claridge’s, and we are very happy to be continuing our collaboration across the fall and festive season – a truly special time at the restaurant.”

Dante, established in Greenwich Village in 1915 and relaunched in 2015 under Australian owners Linden Pride and Natalie Hudson, is known for its Italian-Australian food and celebrated drinks, winning World’s Best Bar by 50 Best in 2019. The longer presence at Claridge’s allows guests to enjoy their signature cocktails and dishes in the Art Deco dining room and terrace. New additions to the menu include a Caviar Martini topped with a spoonful of caviar, seasonal drinks such as the Toffee Apple Manhattan and Figs & Jouet, and warming winter cocktails like the Hot Smoked Toddy and Hot Buttered Rum, which will become available from December.

The collaboration includes a weekly Martini Hour from Wednesday to Saturday, at 9pm till midnight, offering guests mini and full-size martinis, including Dante’s Dirty Martini and Espresso Martini. Non-alcoholic options such as the Espresso Shakerato and Cosmojito are also available. On weekends, the restaurant will serve an American take on the traditional British roast. Saturday’s Surf & Turf features beef fillet, lobster and potato rösti, while Sunday’s offering includes a Roasted Herefordshire Sirloin of Beef served with Mac & Cheese. Seasonal brunch cocktails like the Cold-Pressed Bloody Mary and an autumnal Pear Bellini will also be served.

Dante’s co-founder, Pride enthused: “The response to our summer residency with our Mayfair friends has been extraordinary, and we are delighted to extend our time at Claridge’s until the end of the year. Our new menu captures the flavours and spirit of New York in the fall, and my personal favourite time of year, from late-night Martini Hour to Fireside Old-Fashioneds, and we’re very excited to share it with Londoners.”
