Sessions Arts Club brings immersive restaurant and art installation to Frieze London 2025

Sessions Arts Club will return to Frieze London from 15th to 19th October 2025, presenting an immersive pop-up restaurant within the art fair grounds. The temporary dining installation, led by Head Chef Abigail Hill and designed by the club’s founder and artist Jonny Gent, will offer a seasonal menu in a setting that merges culinary and artistic experiences. The pop-up is open to all Frieze London ticket holders and continues the club’s ongoing collaboration with the contemporary art event.

This year’s concept draws on a combination of visual and thematic inspirations, notably prehistoric caves and the stylised aesthetic of the 1992 film Basic Instinct. The design, developed in collaboration with Russell Potter of SODA Studio and Richard J. McConkey of A Studio Between, features a palette dominated by deep blues and sculptural forms – intended to blur the boundaries between restaurant, art installation and working studio.

The food offering reflects the club’s signature emphasis on seasonal British ingredients. The menu comprises dishes such as Carlingford Oysters, Cobble Lane Fennel Salami, Jerusalem Artichoke Risotto, and Goat’s Curd with Rainbow Chard. The menu has been put together so to accommodate both quick meals and longer, more leisurely lunches for fairgoers.

In addition to food and design, the pop-up will feature a curated selection of limited-edition collaborative items, available exclusively at the fair. These include a bespoke pin created with jewellery brand Completedworks, a custom tablecloth made in collaboration with homeware label Tekla, and a limited-edition hat produced with menswear brand Drake’s London. Other items include Cabin Studios t-shirts, posters and books, as well as a selection of Lost Wines from Sessions Arts Club.

Sessions Arts Club, located in Clerkenwell, London, has developed a reputation for integrating art, food and performance within its permanent space. Its return to Frieze London follows a similar pop-up at the 2024 edition of the fair.
