The Pot Luck Club extends London residency at The Waldorf Hilton till June 2026

South African restaurant The Pot Luck Club will continue its residency at London’s Waldorf Hilton until the end June next year, following a successful initial run. The pop-up, led by British-born chef Luke Dale Roberts, first opened in August of this summer at the hotel’s flagship restaurant, Homage, as a three-month venture. Its extension offers diners a further chance to experience the restaurant’s signature small-plate dining inspired by Cape Town’s vibrant culinary scene.
Originally established in the South African capital’s Old Biscuit Mill, The Pot Luck Club has become one of the region’s most sought-after dining destinations. Known for its globally influenced menu and bold flavours, it has brought a selection of its popular dishes to London. Items such as smoked beef fillet with truffle café au lait remain on the menu, now joined by new seasonal additions including duck samosas with five spice, fallow deer and a mole jus, and guinea fowl with cranberry. A dessert of rooibos-poached quince also features as part of the winter offering.
The cocktail selection, developed in collaboration with in-house mixologist at the London venue, Abby Long, continues to mirror the restaurant’s culinary style. Served at the hotel’s Wild Monkey bar, the drinks list includes house-infused cordials and seasonal ingredients, with signature options ranging from the Thai Green Curry Martini to Passion Fruit Sake and a Raspberry Fig Cooler. A new bar snacks menu, curated by Roberts, has also been introduced to complement the drinks. The bar operates Wednesday to Saturday from 4pm until late.
Chef Roberts will return to the kitchen on Thursday 28th November to present the updated menu. “We’ve talked about bringing The Pot Luck Club to London for years, and it was always the city that made sense,” he said. “As a Brit, it’s so meaningful to have been welcomed back in such a positive way, and it’s been a real pleasure doing this with a London landmark hotel […] I feel so lucky to share what we’ve built in Cape Town with a new audience.”
Guy Hilton, general manager of hotel, added: “We’re delighted to extend The Pot Luck Club’s residency. The response has been phenomenal, and it’s been exciting to see the restaurant bring such fresh energy to the hotel. This extension means even more guests will have the chance to experience it.”
