Enjoy the best Burns Nights in London at Boisdale

The self proclaimed unofficial embassy of Scotland, Boisdale Restaurant, has once again opened its door for Burns Night.

The feast which celebrates the life and work of Scottish poet Robert “Rabbie” Burns has been heralded by Boisdale’s founder Randal as “an annual highlight” and “an opportunity to introduce some of the most wonderful food currently available in Scotland to guests, old and new”.

A perfect occasion for some commemoratory entertainment, the event features the legendary piper Pipe-Major Willie Cochrane and Scottish actor Brett Findlay, who will be reciting the Ode to a Haggis, in 18th century period costume.

Burns Nights take place during various evenings in January at the restaurant’s three London locations: 23rd – 28th at Boisdale of Canary Wharf, 16th – 28th January 2010 at Boisdale Belgravia, and 23rd – 27that Boisdale of Bishopsgate. The three set menus ranging from £42 to £69 per person feature some of Scotland’s finest ingredients including Hebridean salmon, mini roast Macsween haggis, and the very best grass fed dry aged Aberdeenshire beef steaks.

And in keeping with true Scot tradition, Boisdale has partnered with premier single malt scotch whiskey Talisker to provide a perfect accompaniment to the Scottish cuisine. After all it wouldn’t be Burns Night without great whiskey!
