Curate, a unique award launched by Fondazione Prada and the Qatar Museums Authority, is a global search for curatorial talent.

It comes as no news that everything we choose to surround us has meaning. Through the Curate award, the two institutions aim to encourage the realisation of great curatorial expressions and perspectives that regard the rapidly changing world. The competition encourages anyone with a great concept to enter, meaning that there is no limitation. Your ideas can be exhibited in all forms of media, allowing freedom and your creativity to blossom.

A judging panel made up of a world-renowned jury, including Miuccia Prada, Rem Koolhaas and Nadine Labaki, will come together to explore and critique the ideas that you have submitted, judging them on their creativity and social importance. They will be looking for an exemplary exhibition that is both far-sighted and critical of the future. From all submissions, the jury will select 20 finalists, which will then be narrowed down to one overall winner.

To enter the competition, all you have to do is submit a short video (must be no longer than two minutes) that explains your curatorial idea. Along with this, you are asked to hand in a one-page document that also explains your concept.

All submissions are to be made by 31^st December 2013. The 20 finalists will be announced on 1^st February 2014, and the winner will be announced on 15^th April 2014.

With no limits to the form or language in which you can submit your entry, don’t restrict your creativity. What will you curate?
