The London International Mime Festival at Various Locations

This month, the London International Mime Festival arrives in London for its 39th year, its purpose to celebrate contemporary visual theatre from around the globe. Running from Thursday 8th to Saturday 31st January, the festival comprises 64 performances from 18 companies.

Performances will span the Barbican, Central St Martin’s Platform Theatre, Jacksons Lane, the Linbury Studio Theatre at the Royal Opera House, Sadler’s Wells, Soho Theatre and Southbank Centre.

To kick off, award-winning acrobats Barely Methodical Troupe perform Bromance at Central St Martin’s Platform Theatre. Subsequent shows include the London premiere of KRAKEN by Trygve Wakenshaw at the Soho Theatre; Theatre Ad Infinitum’s London premiere of Light at The Pit, Barbican; the World Premiere of the ground-breaking ballet and juggling piece 4X4 at the Royal Opera House and Plexus at Sadler’s Wells, conceived by Olivier Award nominee Aurélien Bory and performed by Japanese dancer, Kaori Ito.

In typical fashion, the performances will be complemented by films, workshops and talks by artists. Full programme details can be found here.
