Instagram: celebrity fitness inspiration

Fitness has become big bigness. Thanks to social media platforms like Instagram, we now have a glimpse into the world of celebrity and guess what? They love working out and telling us all about it. What better way to motivate yourself to get off the sofa and into the gym than seeing images of buffed and bronzed gods and goddesses working hard on sculpting their fit bods?

Before there was Instagram, the only images we saw of celebrities working out were of them leaving sweaty and knackered after presumably gruelling fitness sessions at the gym, which didn’t make it seem such an alluring lifestyle choice.  Now the celebs have taken control of how we see them by posing, pouting and filtering their way to fitness inspiration heaven. Along with inspiring quotes and smoothie selfies, here are the celebs of Instagram that have got fitness inspiration down to a toned T.

Singer Elle Goulding has gained a reputation for being big into running, taking part in half marathons; even her album, Lights, was supported by Nike and released as a running soundtrack.  

Khloe has gone from being known as the “bigger sister” to the fitness sister; with an Instagram crammed full of inspirational fitness quotes, work-outs and before-and-after snaps, she is living proof of all the hard work she has put in.

Actress Jessica Alba loves her yoga and often posts pics of sweaty yoga sessions to give us all a nudge in the right direction.

Model and self-proclaimed health advocate Christy Turlington frequently uploads posts of her admirably healthy lifestyle and it looks pretty amazing.

Proving that we can all get into fitness, Lena shows off her slimmer physique and gives out some fitness (both physical and mental) advice to go with it.
