Alexa Chung set to launch her own fashion brand

Model and TV presenter Alexa Chung has announced that she will release her own self-titled fashion range.

Chung’s highly anticipated and contemporary brand, ALEXACHUNG, is expected to be available at various retailers in May 2017. It will incorporate an assortment of daywear, eveningwear, denim, jewellery, accessories and shoes.

Thanks to her series of collaborations with various high-profile brands including Marks and Spencer, Madewell, Supergra and AG Jean, the 32-year-old believes that she has garnered enough experience and confidence to launch her own fashion line.

The assortment will be set at an affordable price range in the hopes of attracting a broad consumer demographic.

“I feel as though I’m kind of prepared to do it now. If it had been any time sooner than this, I either wouldn’t be responsible enough or have been able to take on this kind of feat,” said Chung.

She will take on the role as creative director of the brand and manage a team of half a dozen people including Edwin Bodson, the former studio head of Haider Ackermann.

As a style icon, Alexa Chung has been admired for her fashion sense by millions of followers from around the world. Once the ALEXACHUNG range finally becomes available, undoubtedly its release will have people queuing up for hours in order to emulate the “it” girl’s iconic looks.
