Why the iPhone 13 is the best iPhone yet for gaming
With its brighter display, powerful cameras and longer battery life it’s no wonder that gamers are loving the new iPhone 13.
The brighter display makes it even easier to read in direct sunlight and although the iPhone 13 doesn’t have the adaptive 120Hz refresh rate of the iPhone 13 Pro it still has a brilliant OLED panel. The Retina XDR is also 28% brighter than the iPhone 12 with 800 nits (compare to the 600 nits for last year’s iPhone)
The A15 Bionic is a faster chip and the machine has a notably better learning performance offering a six-core CPU and four-core GPU as well as a 16-core Neural Engine for machine learning and AI (which is from either cores on the previous chipset) Reports in from Apple has also stated that the iPhone 13 CPU is up to 50% faster than the nearest competition – the GPU can also performs well handling graphics rendering 20% faster.
These specs allow the iPhone 13 to perform beautifully, not only when gaming but in everyday use as well.
The high-end specs mentioned above really do come into their own when playing games like FIFA 22 or even Fruity King. The latter, with a varied and immersive games selection on offer, delivers enjoyable animations and special effects on games looking like console quality.
Longer battery life
Another great feature of the iPhone 13 is its longer battery life, an essential for when you are enjoying your online games. Apple says the iPhone 13 battery life will last up to 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone 12 offering users 10 hours and 33 minute of battery life.
The bigger battery and more efficient display together with the A15 Bionic chip has actually shown even better results in independent testing.
Over continuous web surfing over 5G at 150 nits of screen brightness over cellular the iPhone managed to last for the 10 hours and 33 minutes mentioned above which is half an hour longer than Apple stated. Only the Galaxy S21 got close at 9 hours 53 minutes.
