From the man who was one half of comedy duo Adam and Joe and brought us Attack the Block and The Kid That Would Be King comes a brand-new Netflix show, Lockwood & Co, based on the Jonathan Stroud book series of the same name. In this compelling narrative of ghost-busting teens, set in a parallel reality where hauntings are “the Problem” of the day, Cornish delivers once again on a seamlessly realised world that pits young people against the supernatural, cut through with witty, quick-fire dialogue and populated with imaginatively created ghouls with Victorian-inspired, analogue effects.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of chatting with Cornish and his exceptional cast – Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman and Ali Hadji-Heshmati, who play the central trio of contrasting characters – about the appeal of adapting Stroud’s books and their experiences of making the show.
