Le Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower earns a second Michelin star under chef Frederic Anton

In an unprecedented achievement within the iconic Parisian landmark’s culinary history, Le Jules Verne, perched in the Eiffel Tower, has been honoured with a second MICHELIN star in the 2024 edition of the Michelin Guide. This accolade, marking a first for the Eiffel Tower, commends the outstanding dining experience crafted by Frederic Anton, Chef Kevin Garcia, and their dedicated teams since the restaurant’s inception in 2019.

Frederic Anton, a distinguished Meilleur Ouvrier de France and a virtuoso with a career spanning 25 years, is also at the helm of the three-Michelin-starred Pré Catelan since 2007 and the Michelin-starred Seine cruise, Don Juan II, since 2022 – showcasing his unparalleled talent and commitment across his Parisian ventures. Anton’s journey has seen Le Jules Verne evolve into a gastronomic destination in its own right, a vision he passionately pursued to align the Eiffel Tower with haute cuisine. His efforts were first recognized with a Michelin star in 2020, merely five months following the restaurant’s opening. Today, the second star not only celebrates the chef’s mastery but also his team’s unwavering dedication to creating a remarkable gastronomic offer.

Jean-François Martins, President of the Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel (SETE), lauded this significant achievement, highlighting the Eiffel Tower’s elevated status as an enchanting culinary venue under Anton’s stewardship. He said “I would like to applaud Frederic Anton whose unfailing commitment and generosity offers our visitors an exceptional gastronomic experience. Through his cuisine, he embodies excellence in both skill and refinement, making him one of the best ambassadors of French savoir-faire.” Nathalie Bellon-Szabo, Managing Director Worldwide of Sodexo Live!, also commended Anton and his team for their contribution to creating forever memories.

Frederic Anton’s approach to cuisine combines an obsession for detail with a profound appreciation for aesthetics. At Le Jules Verne, dishes are conceived as visual and gustatory masterpieces, celebrating the beauty and flavor of seasonal produce. The restaurant’s menu, featuring refined creations like Le Crabe with Granny Apple Zephir and Le Chocolat soufflé, mirrors the chef’s philosophy of elevating simple, noble ingredients into sublime creations, reflecting the meticulous craftsmanship synonymous with the Eiffel Tower itself.

Sodexo Live!, managing Le Jules Verne, is renowned for enhancing prestigious events and venues worldwide, including the Royal Ascot and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, through its comprehensive hospitality services.
