La Petite Maison London unveils French Riviera-inspired Déjà Vu cocktail menu

La Petite Maison (LPM) London will launch a new cocktail menu titled Déjà Vu this October at their Mayfair location. The selection, which has already debuted at LPM’s Dubai outpost, is presented in the style of a vintage editorial magazine and draws inspiration from the cultural and aesthetic legacy of the French Riviera between the 1950s and 1990s. The initiative is part of the restaurant group’s broader effort to blend mixology with storytelling and design.

Déjà Vu comprises ten creations, each crafted around a specific cultural reference from the mid-20th century, such as Brigitte Bardot’s appearance at Cannes in 1953 and the invention of the Hermès Birkin bag. Each drink is accompanied by editorial-style content, including horoscopes and puzzles, aiming to recreate the leisurely glamour associated with the Côte d’Azur during its heyday. The new menu also introduces a “mirrored menu” concept, wherein each alcoholic cocktail has a non-alcoholic counterpart. This approach caters to the increasing demand for low- and no-alcohol options, particularly among health-conscious and sober-curious consumers. According to LPM, the non-alcoholic versions are developed with the same level of detail and flavour complexity as their alcoholic originals.

Highlights from the menu include the Birkin, a reinterpretation of the Americano featuring Charentais melon and Bacardi Cuatro Añejo, served with a silk scarf tied to the glass stem. The Douliou Douliou is a twist on the Piña Colada served with a vintage Walkman, and the Soleil is inspired by a Fragonard fragrance and served with a perfume sample.

Founded in London in 2007, La Petite Maison now operates in ten international cities including Dubai, Miami and Hong Kong, specialising in Mediterranean-influenced French cuisine and design inspired by the Belle Époque. The launch of Déjà Vu marks a new chapter in their beverage programme, expanding their focus on immersive dining experiences.

Tibor Krascsenics, LPM’s global beverage director, explained the concept’s evolution from a previous menu themed around Jean Cocteau’s Belle Époque aesthetic: “Déjà Vu is a seamless evolution from our previous Jean Cocteau Recipes for our Friends menu, which celebrated the romance of the Belle Époque. With this new chapter, we evoke the cinematic glamour of the French Riviera, marrying world-class cocktails with editorial storytelling. It’s a celebration of culture, craftsmanship and joie de vivre, perfectly at home in Mayfair.”
