The Paper Kites announce reflective new album If You Go There, I Hope You Find It

Australian folk outfit The Paper Kites have announced their seventh studio album, If You Go There, I Hope You Find It, set for release on 23rd January 2026 via Nettwerk.

Written during a retreat to a friend’s farm outside Melbourne, the album marks a return to simplicity and imperfection. Recorded live in the room with minimal overdubs, the project reflects the band’s desire to reconnect with the feeling of creating something honest and unpolished. The album’s title, If You Go There, I Hope You Find It, comes from a phrase band member Christina Lacy scribbled on a fogged-up bus window – later becoming a quiet mission statement for the record’s themes of distance, longing and quiet hope.

The announcement is accompanied by a new single, Every Town, now available to stream alongside a video on the band’s official YouTube channel. The track follows recent release When the Lavender Blooms, recorded at Sing Sing Studios and mixed by Grammy-winner Jon Low (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran).

The Paper Kites have also confirmed a UK and European headline tour for February 2026, including dates in Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and a London show at the Roundhouse.

The band, who rose to prominence with tracks like Bloom and have since amassed over two billion streams, continue to build on their reputation for atmospheric, emotionally reflective songwriting with this latest release.
