Pop Couture: Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine to launch clothing lines
What do the outrageously dressed, pop-rap diva, Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5 lead singer, Adam Levine have in common? Well, besides their extremely successful music careers, judging positions on reality TV shows, The Voice and American Idol respectively, and their personal fragrances; these mega music moguls are now taking up the opportunity to launch their very own fashion labels in collaboration with US retail giant Kmart and ShopYourWay.com, an online social e-commerce platform.
Irmran Jooma, executive vice president and president of marketing and online communications at Sears Holding, which is the holding company of both Kmart and ShopYourWay.com, had the following to say: “We welcome Adam and Nicki into our world and look forward to capturing their energy and creativity on ShopYourWay.com and translating in into unique apparel, accessories and other merchandise.”
Minaj and Levine will each be entirely involved in the design and development of their personal collections, thus ensuring the pieces reflect them, their personalities and creativity.
The lines will be fabricated into affordable unique ranges at an affordable price point, which will be available at select Kmart stores throughout the US.
Nicki Minaj, who is known for her outrageously over-the-top outfits and fearless style, had been seeking out an exciting new project in which to get involved. Now Miss Minaj gets to share her flamboyant fashions with the world! Not exactly sure what reasonably priced, highly-accessible, massed produced Minaj movement is going to look like? Neither are we, but it’s sure to be something we’ve never seen before!
