London-based, Bora Aksu showed a fascinating AW 2012 collection at the BFC Courtyard, Somerset House.

Bora Aksu fall collection 2012 was one of the first shows, starting just hours after the opening of London Fashion Week so the pressure was on. Aksu is Turkish born and is a graduate from the famous Central St Martins art school.
He dressed his models with a wintry image in mind, to complete this look, accessories included lace up boots and patterned tights. To enhance the look he made creative use of jackets capes and Waistcoats. Underneath these coats models wore silk tops or dresses that had beautiful intricate detail.

Unusually the models also had leaf inspired hair pieces that some people would associate with spring/summer collection however Aksu passed this off with white or grey dresses with a pink motif to break out of the sober feel of winter. Bora Aksu fall collection 2012 reminds us all of why he has been a London favourite for 15 years.
