Tinie Tempah is Disturbing London

He’s already made quite a mark in the music industry with his number-one singles, Pass Out and Written in the Stars and now Tinie Tempah is making a mark in fashion. This London rapper has a new debut collection of his streetwear label called Disturbing London, exclusively sold in Selfridges.

The menswear’s fashion label has all the latest graphic-print tees, chinos and aviator jackets, which Tinie himself calls “urban essentials”. The distinctive Disturbing London fashion logo – a skull wearing a crown – also features heavily in the collection. The designs are influenced by everything Tinie feels passionate about: London, music and fashion.

The label first started out as his own independent music label with his manager and cousin Dumi Oburota and has now expanded to incorporate Tinie’s fashion abilities. He is following in the footsteps of US rapper and designer Kanye West, who also has his own fashion line, Dw Kanye West. But where Kanye has failed, Tinie is sure to succeed, as this rapper-turned-designer has already become quite a reputable fashionista, recently voted GQ’s Best Dressed Man this year. He’s at the forefront of fashion with Asos already selling his line, inspired by Tempah’s own sense of style and his favourite British designers, Alexander McQueen and Paul Smith.

The label opens exclusively on 5th Thursday April, so be sure to head down to Selfridges, Oxford Street to get a peek of the new collection.
