Astraea’s perfect summer accessories

Astraea’s perfect summer accessories

It’s important – no matter how good your outfit is – never to leave home without the perfect accessories. That is where fashion blogger Penelope Armstrong comes in. Astraea is her collection of handmade jewellery pieces which include peace signs, feathers and gorgeous stones – perfect for balmy summer’s days.astraeacollageThese must-have summer accessorises are just what is needed to make an outfit amazing. The range of Astraea rings are so striking and feminine – with large semi precious stones jutting out from the rings, or a delicate floating feather attached to them – that they are truly impression-makers. One of the highlights of the collection is the use of chains to link the jewellery – a trend which has been bubbling under the surface for a while now; Penelope has hit it on the head. Her use of chains, which run along parts of the body, connecting, for example, ring and bracelet pieces decorated with a stunning variety of stones or some more grungy skulls, is so effective. She has also used the same idea for a chain head piece which has cross detailing and something that has been seen in simpler forms recently: a necklace which runs down the body and connects around the waist.

Penelope has clearly got her eye on the ball when it comes to design and trends, and Astraea is a perfect way to show her flair for design through jewellery. Have a look at her online shop for more Astraea jewellery or have a look at her blog to check out Penelope’s style for yourself.
