It’s not every day you tweet a successful entrepreneur and get awarded for your work, but that’s exactly what happened to Milly J when she tweeted Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Theo Paphitis. With the hope of grabbing his attention, she ended up being awarded the now, well-respected Small Business Sunday award.

The budding creative entrepreneur was known as a singer/actress turned artist, and has now gained recognition as an avant-garde shoe designer. Her delightful designs include a white polka dot Teapot shaped creation, which are inspired by the Mad Hatters tea party and perfect for the forthcoming jubilee celebrations!

Other wacky designs include the Secret Garden, inspired by the book many of us our familiar with from our childhood, complete with lifelike red woodland mushrooms.

Another design inspired by perhaps Milly’s own musical routes is the Musician Shoe featuring a decoupage music notation, large kitsch satin bowing, graffiti and miniature violins with a special musical quaver to add to the artistic shoe. Then there is the funky Liquorice Allsorts concoction, but this is not for the faint-hearted, in neon pink adorned with handmade clay sweets, and toppled and waywardly stacked for a playful chic look.

Finally, Milly has also being doing her bit for charity, with her head turning Check Your Breasts sculptured shoe, cleverly designed as a pair of breasts and complete with a lacy bra aimed to raise awareness of Breast Cancer, with 20% of the proceeds being donated to Breast cancer care.  Milly’s shoes are available online here.
