Petersham Nurseries brings back Friends of Petersham for autumn

Petersham Nurseries in Richmond is bringing back its Friends of Petersham set menu this autumn, offering two or three courses built around seasonal produce at a fixed price. The offer runs from Tuesday 20th October to Thursday 19th November at the restaurant on Church Lane, off Petersham Road. It’s designed as a “thank you” to regular guests and an invitation to visit during a quieter time of year.

At £60 per person for two courses and £70 for three, the selection is available for Tuesday to Thursday lunch and Thursday supper, recalling the restaurant’s earlier days, when long lunches and unhurried afternoons were a feature of a visit.

There are three starters to choose from: Burrata di Putignano with roasted Delica pumpkin, chilli and radicchio, Roasted Beetroot with pickled blackberries, crispy kale, pecans and feta, or Creste di Gallo Pasta with beef ragù and Parmesan.

The mains are a warming Porchetta, Apple Salsa, Roasted Parsnip for meat eaters or Fillet of Brill, Beurre Noisette, Wild Scottish Girolles, Capers. A vegetarian option comes in the form of Braised Artichoke, Borlotti Beans, Kale, Amalfi Lemon, Salmoriglio.

Two desserts complete the menu – a Chocolate Crémeux made with Original Bean chocolate and served with a chocolate tuile and Amarena cherry ice cream, or Torta di Nocciole, an Italian hazelnut cake, accompanied by praline and fig leaf ice cream.

Alongside the set menu, the team are offering their afternoon tea at £55 per person as part of the same promotion, running on slightly different dates from 22nd October to 20th November. Bookings are open now. Diners should select the “Friends of Petersham Menu” option when reserving online.
