Swatch Chrono Plastic launch party: the perfect watches for the summer

The 4th of July wasn’t just memorable for American celebrations, but for the latest line of Swatch watches too. The date saw the launch of the new Swatch Chrono Plastic watch collection at The Future Gallery, Covent Garden.  With Tiki Cocktails in coconuts on the menu as well as watermelon and raspberry marshmallow canapés, this “beach” party saw the likes of Russell Kane, Richard and Cheska from Made in Chelsea and Gemma Cairney all making an appearance at the surfer’s paradise-themed event.

The watches themselves were presented inside surfer shacks, complete with surfboards and fishing nets for decoration. Each of the two huts presented five watches, each with their totally unique Swatch look. With a more fresh and summery feel to them than other collections, the watches boasted bright and bold shades of red, orange and blue. Watch dials and buttons were complimented with clashing luminous tones of pink, yellow and green to make them stand out from the rest.

A large projector screen presented the audience with sporting activities such as skiing, demonstrating that these watches are perfect to wear for every occasion.  Special picks from the collection were the “Basic White” and “Touch of Fuchsia” watches, as both were a true representation as to why Swatch is our favourite watch brand. Perfect for both males and females, the watches are completely adaptable to any situation and still make you look fashionable no matter where you are.

The chilled feeling of the night was complemented by an extreme hula hooper showing off her skills and wowing the crowd. It’s fair to say that Swatch did everything right with their new collection, ensuring their pieces are going to be coolest around in the up-and-coming months.
