Homewares with a hint of chocolate

Homewares with a hint of chocolate

When you hear or see the word “chocolate” it conjures up an image of something delicious and rich. One thing is certain; Chocolate Creative is very rich in appearance.

Chocolate Creative is a brand that offers handmade homewares and accessories focused on sustainable products made in the UK and Spain. The lady behind the label is Margarita Lorenzo. Her love of good design and interiors led Margarita to launch the brand in 2009. Throughout the website you will see cushions, prints, hooks/knobs, tealight holders, bone china mugs, tea towels and much more.

When asked what inspires Margarita, she told us: “My work is inspired by traditional crafts, antiques, vintage textiles, images, nature and the places I live and travel to.” The traditional feel to the collections is emphasised by using skills such as embroidery and woodworking with screen-printing and heat transfer techniques, to create an image of being completely handmade.

Chocolate Creative is made up of five distinct collections: Decayed Glamour, Cameos, Vintage, Messages and Children.

Cameos is clearly inspired by nature and animals. The printed cushions with deer heads, butterflies and leaves printed on them screams woodland.

Printed tees and messages have been a big trend in the fashion world. Margarita has brought it to the homeware market by printing messages on cushions, mugs and bags.

We personally love the Decayed Glamour collection. The images of vintage interiors that have been printed on a selection of products will suit any vintage lovers down to the ground. The Chandelier Print is our favourite piece from all the ranges.

The romantic collection is everything it says on the tin and the children collection is playful with a vintage twist. It’s an old school view on child’s play, with toy train prints and prints of dolls that your grandmother may have had when she was little.

What is brilliant about Chocolate Creative is that it’s affordable. The handmade, crafted appearance makes it look like it should be expensive. At £8 for a mug and £7.50 for a printed tote bag, they are the perfect present for someone or even a treat for you. Get your own piece of chocolaty indulgence here.
