Bayt Sajj brings new shawarma wraps to Holborn

Bayt Sajj, a Lebanese wrap shop located in Holborn, has introduced two new shawarma-inspired wraps to its menu. The additions – a Shawarma Chicken Wrap and a Shawarma Beef Wrap – are available at the shop on Southampton Row and aim to expand the restaurant’s offering of traditional Lebanese street food to a wider audience in the capital.

Founded in 2024, Bayt Sajj centres its menu around sajj bread, a traditional Lebanese flatbread that is baked in-house daily. The menu features 15 different wraps, including both vegetarian and meat options. Popular choices among customers include the Classic Chicken Wrap, which contains roasted chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and honey mustard dressing, and the Kafta & Cheese Wrap, made from a blend of minced beef and lamb, onions, parsley, pickles, tomato, cheese, and mayonnaise.

The newly launched Shawarma Chicken Wrap consists of sliced marinated chicken breast, garlic sauce, lettuce, and pickles. The Shawarma Beef Wrap features sliced marinated beef with tahini sauce, tomato, onions, parsley, and pickles. These wraps in particular are intended to showcase the balance of bold Lebanese seasonings and fresh ingredients for which the cuisine is known.

In addition to the savoury wraps, Bayt Sajj offers a range of sweet wraps, including a classic Nutella Wrap and a Halawa and Cheese Wrap. There is also a rotating special; the current option is a Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Wrap, made with creamy pistachio, crispy kataifi, and chocolate syrup, finished with a drizzle of pistachio.

The shop visitors have the option to pair their wraps with delicious and rich side salads and traditional dips such as labneh, hummus, and baba ghanouj, all prepared on site. Plus, they can pick from a selection of hot and cold drinks and snack-sized items like pizza bites and halloumi bites.

For those unable to visit the Holborn location, Bayt Sajj offers delivery services, including a build-your-own wrap box where customers can select up to five wraps per order. The restaurant positions itself as a top spot for Lebanese street food from brunch through to dinner.
