Chic & Seek: Pre-loved designer pieces and Think Pink! for Breast Cancer Care

Chic & Seek: Pre-loved designer pieces and Think Pink! for Breast Cancer Care

In aid of Breast Cancer Care, the online store and secret boutique Chic & Seek opened their doors this week for a Think Pink! party. A girls’ night in was in full swing at the stylish mews house filled with previously owned designer clothes and accessories. Manicures were given, the Prosecco flowed and canapés were nibbled as guests shopped the vast selection of coats, dresses, blouses, bags, jewellery and shoes.

Yesterday, The Upcoming was treated to a sneak peek behind the doors of the Chic & Seek boutique in Notting Hill. All in the name of charity, the hidden treasure trove of designer goodies was open for business without the usual necessary appointment.

Chic & Seek is a haven of pre-loved, luxury designer pieces all in exquisite condition and with some still boasting their original sales tags. The online shop offers savvy seekers items from designers including Balenciaga, Chanel, Chloe, Dior, Hermes, Miu Miu and YSL. Clothing, shoes and beautiful bags in near new condition are personally chosen to ensure authenticity and quality.

Unlike other pre-owned stores, owner Tara Nash-King only sells designer pieces from the past few years, and only those in excellent form. Tara has been lucky enough to delve into the wardrobes of a few chic sources whose well cared for designer pieces are given a second life in the Chic & Seek boutique.

From the outside, the only clues that this house in the mews is no ordinary house, are the upper windows which give outsiders a sneaky look at the bags sitting on the sills inside. Tara explained to The Upcoming how the private viewings happened accidentally: “We threw a sort of launch party to mark the opening of the business and people who couldn’t make it began calling me to arrange a day when they could come and view the collection.”

Allowing customers to view the pieces and try them on before they buy has given the online store a unique personal touch. If you see a number of things you like on the website you can make a “Chic List” which will ensure those items are available for you to try on at your appointment. Alternatively, if you’re in the area on a Wednesday, Chic & Seek now offer a late night open-house event. Until the end of October, you can browse the collection between 10am-9pm and with new pieces added each week, you are bound to find a gem to take home with you.

For a little bit of luxury at a reasonable price, shop the selection on the Chic & Seek website, or look out for the boutique’s pop-up shop in Notting Hill coming this November.
