Harts+Crosses: jewellery that won’t break the bank

Harts+Crosses: jewellery that won’t break the bank

At this time of year, money is tight for a lot of people. However, you can still afford to treat yourself every now and again, especially if you buy from Harts+Crosses.

Harts+Crosses only opened officially in 2012 but had been an on-going idea for a couple of years. Nicola is the creative genius behind the label. “I have always been a creative person. I have always had a great interest in art which led to designing many items including jewellery and clothing, so after a sketchbook full of dreams, I decided to turn it into a reality and Harts+Crosses was born.” The label sells handmade and wholesale jewellery, to give a wider selection of pieces.

Nicola would love for everything to be handmade but she doesn’t have the tools or the material to do so. She loves to work with crystal and gemstones and tries to incorporate them into the jewellery. A perfect example of this is the Amullet Necklace that contains amethyst.

They are also starting to sell new, preloved and vintage clothing for customers wanting something a bit extra. This green dress that they currently have is really cute and they have some pieces that still look on trend, even if they are a couple of decade years old.

However, Harts+Crosses are looking to start selling their own clothing, including hand-drawn printed T-shirts and vests as well as a line of dresses. “Our goal is to create a label which is great quality and very affordable.” With prices starting at £1.50 you can’t say it isn’t affordable.

The pieces containing the gemstones really stand out in the collection of jewellery. The Quarterly necklace, Ocean ring, Moon ring and Sweet ring are gorgeous and really cheap as well. However, they aren’t of cheap quality and they don’t look tacky.

So what inspires a collection full of gemstones and religious imagery? Nicola told us: “People inspire me. I love hearing stories on what people have accomplished and it makes me want to do something amazing!” At Harts+Crosses, they definitely provide customers with something completely wonderful.

If you love gemstones but can’t afford them normally, this website is for you. Head over there and check them out here.
