Ghost S/S 13 press launch

Thursday morning, bright and early, we ventured down to Green Park to preview the new Spring/Summer 13 collection from Ghost. Hosted in the beautiful Arts Club, press and friends had gathered to witness the launch.

Ghost, a fashion label that has been providing luxurious clothes for over three decades, really put us in the Spring mood. With their beautiful new collection hung on rails and mannequins, we were that little bit more excited for the upcoming months of sun.

As we walked in, the Ghost fashion team told us that the collection “really speaks for itself” and that we could pick an item of our choosing to add to our wardrobes. So obviously we were very excited and began searching for our favourite pieces.

The collection itself consisted of Ghost’s signature tunics and long, flowing and draped dresses, but the colours were really the selling point that stood out for us. From bright pink, burnt orange and yellow, to black, crème and navy, there really was a palette to please plenty. The collection also showed that they are contemporary, by creating pieces with the S/S trends of monochrome, nudes and bright and bold.  Impeccably crafted and tailored, the fabrics on these garments were a combination of crepe and silk and the texture will be perfect for the warmer season.

Their loose-fitting blazer jackets were amongst some of the most popular items of the morning, along with a gorgeous floor length off-white dress.  The great thing about the collection and Ghost in general is that if you like a garment, but not the colour, then they are more than likely to have it in a different shade.

The collection will be available in March, but if you can’t wait to get your hands on a piece then you can shop the current collection here.
