The Upcoming had the pleasure of being invited to celebrate the launch of Peter Werth’s first London concept store in trendy Covent Garden on 7th February. Some of London’s suavest gentlemen were in attendance for the opening and private viewing of the brand’s latest collection.  Guests enjoyed a selection of refreshments whilst browsing the rails of sophisticated menswear and accessories on show, which consisted of English sharp tailored jackets, blazers, cord trousers and checked shirts, with intricate detailing such as the quilted silk lining in the fur trimmed navy woollen jacket.

Briefcases, travel and practical man bags in tweed and black, a unique wood effect design which also lent itself to a selection of wallets, and silk scarves in red and navy help to complete the classic look. We were also joined by Darren and Mark, members of vocal harmony group The Overtones and Baritone Peter Brathwaite, of opera group Amore, who were all looking particularly suave.

The British-born brand is now in its 37th year, and has become synonymous with sharp British design and high quality clothing, and as the new collection shows, is very affordable, with shirts ranging from £50-£80, jackets and coats from £90-£125 and accessories from £30. The new store is now open to the public.   Alongside the Peter Werth collection, the store will also showcase a hand-picked selection of exclusive, complementary brands such as Baxter of California and Czech & Speake grooming products.

Get down there and check it out at 3 Earlham St, Seven Dials, Covent Garden, WC2H 9LD.
