It has been announced that global fashion emporium Dior are to partner up with reputable Knightsbridge department store Harrods for a creative extravaganza and here at The Upcoming we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us!

The fashion powerhouse, founded way back in 1946 by Christian Dior, is to transform the store into a true tribute by taking over the entire 4th floor which is set to become “the ultimate Dior experience”. As well as this, all 33 of the stores windows will feature the brand’s instantly recognisable colour scheme of grey and white. British heritage will also be a prominent feature throughout with the likes of London telephone and post boxes.

It will consist of a grand total of nine pop-up shops, which will showcase a variety of limited edition products as well as displays focusing on all things Dior. Everything from the house’s Lady Dior handbag which recent Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence is the face of, to the glamorous fragrance J’adore.

There will even be a themed café to reflect Dior’s love of fine food, serving a host of dishes from lobster club sandwiches to fun Dior cupcakes! No details spared here, they’ve literally covered everything!

The partnership between the two seems only natural seeing as they have a history going back 60 years, Dior London was one of the first subsidiaries created by Christian and in 1953 he even staged a Fashion show in the department store. The takeover kicks off on the 16th of March and will remain in store for a month, so we suggest you get down there as soon as possible to explore and witness a part of fashion history!
