Our pick of this season’s top nail top art trends!

Now that it seems the sun has arrived, we can hopefully put those cold wintery days behind us. We’ve started counting down the days to our holidays and with nail art being such a huge trend for 2013, we thought what better way to introduce a bit of summer style into our lives? Think summer shades topped with holiday inspired designs and it’s all about being as adventurous as possible! Almost any idea can be achieved these days.

We’ve searched the net for the prettiest colours and the most eye-catching designs and here we’ve put together a collection of our favourite ideas!

First up, we’ve got the super on trend “ombré” nails! You’ve more than likely seen them everywhere recently; they’re a big hit with the likes of Rihanna, Rita Ora and Adele. The French word meaning, “shaded” can be altered to your personal taste and style accordingly. We love the idea of the sunset shades pictured above, perfect for when you’ve got that “sex on the beach” cocktail in hand!

Choppy seas and anchors aboard! Nautical nails are easy to achieve from the comfort of your own home and you can play around with the design. Attempt the stripes if you’ve got a steady hand! We love the top left image… metallic shades are everywhere right now, so nail two trends at the same time!

Can’t wait for those days lounging around on the beach? Bring the palm trees to England while you wait! You’ll need a steady hand, as there’s quite a lot of detail involved with this one, so maybe head down to your local salon and treat yourself.

Oh how we’d love to be beside the sea! Fish, shells and starfish add a little bit of fun and creativity to the sweet pastel blues and greens which are massive right now. We thought we’d include the Finding Nemo inspired design with the release of its long-anticipated sequel Finding Dory which has recently been announced!
