Rachel Zoe ready to Save the Children

American stylist, fashion designer and reality TV star Rachel Zoe has joined Save the Children as an Artist Ambassador. The organisation, whose aim is to create lasting change in the lives of children in need, have chosen Zoe to raise awareness, mobilize funds and advocate Save the Children’s humanitarian response work in the United States and around the globe.

Zoe, who also has a two-year-old son called Skyler, will use her business sense and natural motherly instincts to assist the organisation in their efforts to garner support for their main cause, children in need. Zoe expressed her enthusiasm for the role saying “Save the Children have been helping children in need for nearly a hundred years and I am extremely honoured to be involved in their ongoing efforts and their commitment to disaster relief.”

The partnership has come at the right time, in line with the organisation’s efforts to raise awareness about the inextricable link between the health and well-being of mothers and the silent global crisis of newborn deaths. Zoe and other celebrities including Jennifer Garner, Alyson Hannigan and Jennifer Connelly will take part in a video campaign that aims to capture mothers rejoicing in the magical first moments of their baby’s lives and to wish the same for all mothers across the globe.

In the video Zoe recalls her own pregnancy and her feelings towards her son’s birth: “The process of any human being pushing another human being out of their body is a frightening thought, let’s be serious. But it’s also the most extraordinary, incredible, beautiful thing that’s ever happened [to me].”
