Boutique Folklorique: get your folk on

Folklorique expects a “post-consumerist” era, where people value products more for the love and energy that has been spent in making them and the historical aspect.

Folklorique pays homage to the “beautiful journey of folk tradition and style”, which is translated to beautifully patterned, handcrafted products. The new label describes their store as “a result of conflicting passions for old and new”. The store doesn’t focus on fashion alone; they have a wide range of accessories and lifestyle products that all embrace the folkloristic theme. So Folklorique is a must-visit for all the folklore lovers among you that like to decorate their lives as folk as possible.

The online retail store doesn’t have many different items in stock, which makes all the pieces more exclusive and authentic. Every item is handpicked and some are specially designed for the consumer. The young and talented designers that create the products for Folklorique use old manufacturing processes, whilst making contemporary fair trade items that go perfectly with the latest trends.

Our favourite item is the silk patterned scarf called Geometric Garden, which is patterned with flower and water motifs. It’s a great example of how timeless the folklore theme is. The scarf is a great summer accessory that goes with several outfits.
