Bibi Bevza of Ukrainian womenswear brand, BEVZA, was recently named Best Womenswear Designer at Ukrainian Fashion Week.  Since the brand’s beginnings in 2006, BEVZA has personified minimalism, simplicity, sensuality and accuracy. 

Emphasising its importance, adaptations of the “little white dress” can be found in each of BEVZA’s collections and illustrate the recurring themes of purity and perfection.  With versatility that blurs the line between casual and formalwear and pieces compatible for a smooth day-to-night transition, BEVZA brings us a collection rooted in comfort and individuality, perfect for every modern-day woman.

Inspired by meditation, BEVZA’s Resort 2014 collection removes needless noise and focuses on subtlety through clean lines and sharp silhouettes.  Toying with proportions through the use of unconventional cuts and draping, pieces like the shirt-dress flirt with androgyny and present a new perspective on a classic look.

BEVZA’s modern cropped pants allow just the right amount of ankle cleavage to peek above satin slippers, loafers and chunky sandals, while kimono sleeves and modest hemlines pay homage to eastern cultures, creating a look reminiscent of traditional Chinese tea ceremonial garb.  This modern-meets-traditional look is intended for a mature, sophisticated individual.       

Hues of black, white, salmon, sky blue and plum are harmoniously brought together into works of wearable origami through impeccable pleats, folds and draping.  To top it all off, the collection is accessorized with fun triangular-shaped purses, emphasizing the ongoing influence of geometry in modern constructions.
