Marisota reveal your real body shape

Many of us spend hours dissecting our body shapes, moaning about wobbly bits and ensuring we change our eating and exercise habits to try and get fit for summer. However, are our body perceptions reflective of reality? Often not, according to clothing brand Marisota.

Screen shot 2013-07-22 at 15.47.41The size 12 and plus size company have devised a quiz to banish women’s body woes, hoping to educate women about their real body shapes, opposed to how they view themselves in the mirror. It’s a common phenomenon that women often misjudge their clothing size and body shape, despite what family members and friends may tell them. However, with Marisota’s quiz, your real body shape is identified by your measurements, and not your clothing size.

Collecting data such as chest size and hip size, the quiz uses your vital statistics to identify your body shape – whether you are a pear like Beyonce or have an hourglass figure. The quiz allows you to see how mismatched your bodily perceptions are to reality by first asking you to select the body shape you think you are from a line-up of silhouettes. At the end of the quiz, your real shape is revealed, as well as tips that help you to choose the perfect styles of clothing for your body.

Comparing your perception to your actual shape is a great way of ensuring that you are shopping for the right body shape – and as they say, knowledge equals power. To try the quiz for yourself, simply visit here.
