Celebrations were in full swing as nautical specialists Crew Clothing celebrated their 21^st birthday. Along with the party, we were introduced to their absolutely stunning summer collection, which will make kitting out your holiday suitcase easy as pie.

A gorgeous array of blues, pinks and whites hung graciously on rails as we stepped into Crew Clothing’s Richmond store and were greeted with prosecco and nibbles. The room was brimming with talented writers from the country, all taking in the beautiful designs that surrounded them. We even got to play around with Crew’s own photo booth and nautical props.

But the star of the show was definitely the clothes. Crew’s undoubtedly amazing reputation was kept alive and kicking with their sublime summer collection. Keeping their classic jumpers but in hot pinks, deep blues and gorgeous salmons, incredible pumps that will bring the beach to your feet no matter where you are, dip dye bags for picnic days and striking stripy dresses that will make you look like a mid-summer goddess even in our inevitable glum summer.

Adventurer and TV presenter Ben Fogle is the Crew brand ambassador; he used his fantastic reputation and entrepreneurial spirit to raise awareness of the need to protect our oceans for the future. Ben is taking a tour of our spectacular coastlines with a paddleboard, music and wonderful company, to show what we really need to start focusing on so we can enjoy these magnificent coastlines for years to come. Ben also models the Crew’s menswear, which is out of this world. (Especially on him!)

Pairing salmon chinos with a deep indigo tailored blazer, fabulous deck shoes and a brown leather messenger bag, it is an outfit made for the coast.

While Crew are on their tour, they will be reviving a classic. Founder Alistair Parker-Swift started by selling the original ’93 Rugby’s on the beach and will be doing it again! All the proceeds will go towards the charity Plastic Oceans, so you can buy a bit of history, look stunning and help our oceans.

Another item on sale that will be helping our seas is the incredibly cute sea happy scarf, in a superb turquoise, designed exclusively in-house delicately touched with small white seashells and starfish, it’s a mermaids dream. £5 will go to the Plastic Oceans charity from every one sold.

The collection is a staple of Crew, making their 21^st year just as stunning as their previous years, with colours that remind you of a beautiful sunset sky, in fantastic designs and bringing nautical stunningly into the fashion world. Happy 21^st birthday Crew, and we hope the next 21 years will be just as spectacular.
