Jerome C. Rousseau: a zeal for heels

Jerome C. Rousseau: a zeal for heels

The very thought of summer ending normally fills us with overwhelming sadness – every year the season seems to fade away even more quickly than our tans. Whilst we still have a few glorious weeks of summer left, the pangs of winter blues are beginning to stir, that was until we were given something rather special to look forward to this November. Allow us to elaborate… we were recently sent the Jerome C. Rousseau 2015 lookbook, and we can honestly say that the entire collection is simply stunning.

Jerome C. Rousseau burst onto the scene back in 2008, with a penchant for overstated and retro styling. Within just a few short years, Jerome C. Rousseau has now accumulated a reputation which precedes him; having obtained global success and respect from the most prestigious of peers, including the likes of Matthew Williamson and John Rocha and countless features on the much coveted glossy pages of Vogue Italia.JR1

The 2015 collection will launch this November and will feature signature boots and mules in the most striking of prints and vibrant colours. The collection is an array of jewel hues, quirky embellishment and stunning silhouettes. A shoe from this collection will brighten up even the most rain-sodden pavement, making that Monday morning walk to the office in torrential rain just that little bit more bearable.JR2

When winter descends upon us, our legs are tucked away just as surely as our bikini wardrobe is, but when our legs are enveloped in black skinny trousers for months on end, we like to inject a bit of variety into the lower part of the body by mixing up the choice of footwear, so we think this entire collection of bright and unique designs will save us from the drudgery that is often associated with winter dressing. It’s incredibly easy to fall into a style rut during the winter months. We often struggle to have fun with fashion when all of the bright colours of the summer months suddenly evaporate from the high street. And whilst this can be somewhat chic, it can also be incredibly boring. We think that the Jerome C. Rousseau collection will inject some much-needed fun to winter fashion.JR3

Admittedly, it was incredibly difficult to pick a favourite piece from the extensive collection, but the moment we clapped eyes on the faux snakeskin mules, we just knew that it was love. We are now almost at a point where we are yearning for winter to come so that we can finally sink our feet into that soft Italian leather.
