It can sometimes be a little tricky when it comes to having to switch up your wardrobe to cater for a bump and find something that not only looks great but feels great and is, of course, comfortable. Maternity fashion is growing beyond belief with giant high-street brands releasing fantastic, fashionable (and affordable) maternity clothing.3

Maternity jeans

We love a good pair of fitted jeans (a must for any wardrobe)! One of our go-to high-street stores for this is Topshop every time. We absolutely love their super skinny and soft range – they fit and feel great. We are regular Topshop customers and only just recently noticed they have a super-skinny legged jean within their maternity range; they are super stylish, feel very comfortable and are extremely popular! Various UK baby bloggers have blogged about wearing these jeans through their pregnancy. Other high-street retailers that stock up on maternity jeans are Mamas and Papas and New Look.4

Dresses

Dresses are so pregnant-friendly; a lot of mums-to-be find that wearing a soft material dress is the most comfortable, particularly when coming to the end of a pregnancy. A dress is very versatile and can be worn with or without a pair of leggings or tights to switch up the outfit.leggings

Leggings

A good pair of maternity leggings are a must during any pregnancy and they go with absolutely anything. You can find a pair of super soft high-waisted maternity leggings at Topshop. The good thing about any Topshop leggings is they last forever! The material is long-lasting and they also have a slightly thicker range (keeping you toasty in the winter).2

Maternity lingerie

A well-fitted maternity bra is a very important investment during any pregnancy – comfort and support is key! Department stores such as M&S and Debenhams offer a fitting service and a good range of support bras.5

Vests

As any heavily pregnant woman will tell you, simple “basic vests” are well worth the purchase. They are not only very comfortable but are also extremely versatile and go with just about anything. They also come in so many different colours (one for every day of the week). New Look sells a pack of three maternity vests for £12.
