Topshop X Adidas Originals

Last week, Topshop and Adidas Originals launched their second collaboration to date, this time opting for a capsule collection of seven pieces.

Each piece would be equally fitting for gym or streetwear and prices range from £30 to £175.  Available to buy from both Topshop and Adidas’s website, the collection is selling out fast! Fashion bloggers are snapping it up – a number of outfit posts already featuring the new line.

With 80s hip-hop inspiration infused, the collection screams sports luxe combined with street style. The collection features a number of iconic Adidas pieces: the classic T-shirt, sweat top, runner shorts, tracksuit bottoms and the Originals jacket and trainers, to which Topshop has given a breath of life with a statement retro look and chic detailing. Bright pops of pillar-box red spruce up the otherwise monochromatic colour palette.

Both brands are known for initiating impressive collaborations, so it’s only natural for them to work together. Topshop has previously presented collections with fashion names such as Kate Moss and Christopher Kane, and Adidas has recently worked with stars Rita Ora and Kanye West. Adidas’s design director, Josefine Aberg, revealed in a press statement: “Our capsule with Topshop is the perfect partnership, as it allows us to explore a contemporary fashion aesthetic while paying homage to our iconic sportswear roots.”
