UK Michelin star restaurants 2019: Full list and map

Today at the BFI IMAX in London Michelin unveiled the 2019 list of restaurants that held, gained or lost the coveted stars in Great Britain and Ireland. The new guide director Gwendal Poullennec – together with the event’s host and Gordon Ramsay – announced the new names, which we’ve put on a complete list and also placed on an easy-to-use interactive map.

London earned two new double-starred restaurants: Core by Clare Smyth and Kitchen Table at Bubbledogs. Marcus, however, lost one their stars, effectively increasing the total number of two-star in the capital just by one. Six places won their maiden star – Brat, Hide, Ikoyi, Leroy, Roganic and Sabor – while seven were deleted: Ametsa, Ellory (closed, now Leroy), HKK (closed), Jamavar, Lima Fitzrovia, Outlaw’s at the Capital and Tamarind (closed)

Moor Hall, a modern, cutting-edge dining destination that debuted on the guide with a star last year, received a second one for 2019.

It wasn’t a great day for Scotland: the northern country lost three starred restaurants – Albannach (closed), Boath House, Martin Wishart at Loch Lomond (closed) – without gaining any new ones. Ireland, however, welcomed three new entries: Chestnut, Mews, Ichigo Ichie – all from County Cork, in the south-west.
