Award-winning chef Alberto Landgraf brings Brazilian flavours to London with Bossa

London, prepare to samba to the beat of a new culinary rhythm. Alberto Landgraf, the award-winning chef of Oteque, a beacon of gastronomic excellence in Rio de Janeiro, is setting up his first ever culinary outpost, Bossa, in the heart of London, scheduled to open on 24th May.

Set within the prime intersection of Mayfair and Marylebone, the restaurant promises to infuse the British capital’s food scene with the vibrant spirit of Brazil. Oteque, under Landgraf’s creative vision, has earned two Michelin stars and claimed the 47th spot on the World’s 50 Best list.

Bossa will showcase the chef’s signature Brazilian cuisine within a stylishly designed 60-seat restaurant, complete with an open kitchen and a ten-seater counter for a more interactive experience. Contemporary yet cosy, the interiors are balanced with atmospheric lighting, bespoke woodwork and expansive windows that bathe the space in abundant natural daylight.

On the menu, expect sharing plates and some of Landgraf’s signature dishes such as Skewered Duck Hearts with Farofa, Heart of Palm Whole on the Barbeque & Caramelised Brazil Nut Vinaigrette and Roasted Scallops, Leeks, Toasted Buckwheat & Tucupi Sauce. Sweet-toothed diners will be treated to indulgent desserts including Tonka Panna Cotta with Cupuaçu Jam & Crunchy Cocao Nibs and Acai Sorbet with Sugar Cane Bran & Spiced Chocolate. We recall fondly the brilliance of Alberto’s food, a blend of vibrant flavours and technical precision, during his four-hand dinner at Lyle’s last year.

Returning to a city close to his heart, the chef, who cut his teeth in the industry under the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Tom Aikens, brings a formidable wine selection curated with by Laís Aoki, regarded as one of the finest sommeliers in South America and recent recipient of the title of Best Sommelier in Brazil.
