The seventh instalment in the Mission: Impossible series is a two-part action film, with the second due for release in mid-2024. Directed and produced by Christopher McQuarrie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One brings a returning cast to screen, with Tom Cruise at the helm in his recurring role as skilled field agent Ethan Hunt, as well as a slew of newcomers eager to delve into this epic world of espionage and action.

This brilliant spy thriller promises fans a bigger and bolder storyline when Ethan and his IMF team are presented with the task of locating a deadly weapon that poses a global threat to humanity. A dangerous pursuit to uncover it takes Hunt on a perilous journey across countries that provide the backdrop to some stunning stunts performed by Cruise himself, particularly a standout moment where Hunt drives his motorbike off a cliff before pulling on a parachute and landing to safety.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of attending the London premiere of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One where we spoke to the cast and director about making this incredible action blockbuster in this hugely successful franchise.

We spoke to Simon Pegg about working alongside Cruise, the personal dilemmas Hunt faced in taking on this new mission and what it was like to have Hayley Atwell on board in her role as Grace, as well as a number of other new faces.

Pom Klementieff chatted about what it was like to work with Cruise, the action-packed show that challenged her but felt fitting and what she liked about playing her character.
