The third instalment in this romantic comedy franchise takes viewers to the sunny climes of Greece where we join the Portokalos family as they return to their roots for a family reunion after the death of Gus (the late actor Michael Constantine). The story not only takes the group on a journey of searching out memories, reconnecting with extended relatives and celebrating the life of their beloved, it also satiates fans with another beautiful wedding.

Returning to screen are Toula (Nia Vardalos) and Ian (John Corbett), whose older daughter, Paris (Elena Kampuris), brings a new chapter to this story, alongside a host of new faces, including the non-binary mayor of the town, Victory (Melina Kotselou), evolving the seasoned formula for a new audience against the backdrop of the stunning fictitious Greek mountain village.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to executive producer Paul Brooks about coming back into this franchise and what the story holds for viewers this time around. He also talked about the core of the narrative being about family, and what it was like to work with co-producers Tom and Rita Hanks once again, with Vardalos in the driving seat as director.
