Yari Club offers free yakitori to women on International Women’s Day

On the 8^th of March, Yari Club, the yakitori restaurant located on St Martin’s Lane, will be celebrating International Women’s Day by offering complimentary yakitori to women. The offer, which runs from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm, includes a choice of three yakitori skewers from their full menu, with options ranging from traditional chicken thigh to prawn tempura.

Anne Anggreani, a representative from Yari Club, stated, “Yari Club is proud to show solidarity for International Women’s Day to impact women’s advancement fairly. At the restaurant, we actively recruit, retain and develop diverse talent in our team and support women in leadership and decision-making roles. We look forward to raising awareness on March 8^th through this small gesture.”

The restaurant, known for its vibrant atmosphere and modern take on traditional Japanese street food, will not require any other purchase for women to avail of the free yakitori offer. Customers simply need to quote “IWD” before ordering. Additionally, guests are encouraged to participate in the social conversation using #AccelerateAction, the official hashtag for International Women’s Day 2025.

Apart from the complimentary food, Yari Club also offers a variety of sides and beverages, which can be purchased separately. These include rice, salad, various tempura options, and a selection of hot Japanese teas. For a limited time through the end of March, the restaurant will also serve a winter special of Hot Spiced Sake.

Yari Club is situated just minutes away from key London landmarks like Leicester Square and Covent Garden Piazza. The restaurant features an interior that echoes the essence of classic yakitori joints in Japan with black bricks, stainless steel bars, and cherry wood-clad walls. It also boasts the UK’s first robotic yakitori machine, which adds a novel dimension to the dining experience. The robot, which is not intended to replace human chefs but rather to enhance the cooking process, can be observed by diners as it skillfully prepares skewers.

This event coincides with Hinamatsuri, the Japanese festival celebrating the health and happiness of young girls, which occurs on the 3^rd of March each year.
