London to celebrate Italian aperitivo culture with week-long Amaro Santoni event

A week-long celebration of Italian aperitivo culture is scheduled to take place across London from 30th June this year. The event, known as Aperitivo Week, is organised by Italian brand Amaro Santoni in collaboration with 15 of the city’s bars and restaurants. Its aim is to bring the spirit of Florence to the British capital, offering Londoners a curated experience of the Italian pre-dinner drinks tradition.

Participating venues include high-profile establishments such as Tayēr + Elementary, Manteca, Hakkasan Mayfair, Oblix, Lavo, Chiave, Wildflowers, Gaucho Broadgate, Gaucho Richmond, Aqua Kyoto, Randall and Aubin Soho, Azzurra, Lahpet and The Gunmakers. Each location will feature exclusive cocktail menus centred on Amaro Santoni, with offerings ranging from low-alcohol options to classic and innovative aperitivo-style drinks, designed by their individual bar teams.

The event comes as London experiences warmer weather and a growing interest in continental drinking traditions. The long-standing Italian custom of aperitivo typically involves enjoying light cocktails and small bites in the early evening. Amaro Santoni, which is described as a “dolce-amaro aperitivo” (where bitter meets sweet, with flavours led by rhubarb and iris), is seeking to highlight this tradition. A spokesperson said: “Aperitivo Week will spotlight exclusive collaborations with some of London’s most acclaimed bars and restaurants, featuring bespoke cocktail menus inspired by the vibrant flavours and timeless elegance of Italy.” The beverage is already included on the menus of several London bars and is available for purchase from retailers including The Whisky Exchange and Amazon. The brand, which has won multiple awards, is produced in Florence and is known for its light, bittersweet profile.

Aperitivo Week represents an effort to introduce Londoners to Italian drinking customs and to strengthen the connection between the city’s bar scene and international spirits producers. The event is scheduled to run from Monday 30th June till Sunday 6th July 2025, with specific details available from participating venues.
