Shanghai Me to bring 1930s Pan-Asian dining to London Hilton on Park Lane

New Pan-Asian restaurant Shanghai Me will open on 21st July on the 28th floor of the London Hilton on Park Lane in Mayfair. The venue (and adjoining Bund Lounge bar) aims to offer guests a dining and nightlife experience inspired by the cultural and aesthetic influences of 1930s Shanghai.

The restaurant will accommodate approximately 120 diners and includes two private dining rooms offering uninterrupted views of the city. A range of Southeast Asian dishes will be served, drawing culinary inspiration from countries such as China, Japan and Vietnam. The menu will be complemented by a cocktail list featuring ingredients described as “exotic botanicals,” while the bar will offer late-night drinks and music from resident DJs. The space has been designed by the award-winning studio First Within, incorporating art deco elements and mood lighting to reflect the era and provide an unbeatable panorama of the London skyline.

Shanghai Me is operated by Fundamental Hospitality, a UAE-based group known for developing and exporting lifestyle-focused restaurant brands. They have previously launched venues such as Gaia, Alaya and Cipriani Dubai, and this London opening marks the UK debut for Shanghai Me, which already has a presence in Dubai. Evgeny Kuzin, chairman and founder, said: “We are thrilled to officially open Shanghai Me and Bund at London Hilton on Park Lane. It’s the perfect location to base our restaurant and share our interpretation of Pan-Asian dining and luxury hospitality, and we look forward to welcoming guests this summer.”
