Coworth Park launches al fresco dining terrace Tide

Luxury country hotel Coworth Park in Ascot has announced the launch of Tide, a new seasonal dining space. Open from 12 until 5pm every Friday to Sunday throughout July and August, the open-air restaurant is situated on the upper terrace of the Mansion House and aims to highlight the best of British summer produce.
The concept has been developed by Coworth Park’s executive chef Adam Smith, who has curated a menu that draws on ingredients sourced from across the UK, including Cornish day-boat fish, Kentish strawberries and herbs grown in the hotel’s own kitchen garden. The restaurant is designed to offer guests a relaxed al fresco dining experience with views of the estate’s rose garden and surrounding wildflower meadows.
Signature dishes on the Tide menu include grilled scallops served with buttermilk and hot sauce, native lobster paccheri with black truffle and aged parmesan, and a panzanella salad featuring Isle of Wight tomatoes and grilled prawns. Desserts focus on seasonal fruit, such as Kentish strawberries with yuzu posset and a traditional summer pudding accompanied by elderflower cream.
“Tide is all about capturing a moment in time: the height of the British summer,” said Adam Smith. “It’s a chance to celebrate the season’s finest ingredients, cooked simply and enjoyed in one of the most beautiful spots on the estate.”
The drinks list has been created in collaboration with Rathfinny, a Sussex-based sparkling wine producer. It features a selection of vintage rosés, botanical cocktails and non-alcoholic options, all intended to complement the light and seasonal menu.
The opening of Tide adds a new dimension to Coworth Park’s culinary offering, providing guests with an opportunity to dine outdoors while enjoying the estate’s natural surroundings. The restaurant is now accepting bookings for its limited summer season.
