Bina Bar by Juanlu Fernández to reopen in Jerez with revamped grill-focused menu

Bina Bar by Juanlu Fernández, a restaurant known for its creative approach to Andalusian cuisine, is reopening in Jerez de la Frontera on 11th July. The establishment will return with a newly renovated interior and a revised menu that focuses on grilled dishes and traditional Andalusian flavours influenced by global culinary styles.

The restaurant, headed by chef Juanlu Fernández, is making its comeback in the same city where it originally launched. Its reopening follows a period of closure during which the venue underwent extensive refurbishment to create an updated space that aims to provide a fresh dining experience while maintaining the essence of the region’s gastronomic heritage. According to the team behind the project, the new menu will pay homage to traditional Andalusian cooking techniques, particularly grilling, and also incorporate international influences. The concept is designed to reflect the cultural diversity of Andalusia – a region historically shaped by a range of culinary traditions.

Juanlu Fernández is also known for his work at Lú Cocina y Alma, a Michelin-starred restaurant also located in Jerez. Bina Bar joins a culinary portfolio that aligns with the chef’s reputation for blending classical techniques with regional ingredients. The new offering is described as “an original and fun version of Andalusian cuisine, combining grill cooking, tradition and flavours from around the world, all with a distinctive Andalusian essence”.

The reopening comes at a time when the hospitality sector in Spain continues to recover from the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The return of established venues such as Bina Bar is viewed by some industry observers as a sign of renewed confidence in the region’s dining scene.
