Nude Glass and Giorgio Bargiani unveil Bar/Giani cocktail glassware collection

Nude Glass, the contemporary design brand under global glassware manufacturer Şişecam, has announced the launch of a new cocktail glassware range in collaboration with Giorgio Bargiani, assistant director of mixology at London’s Connaught Bar. The collection, titled Bar/Giani, is designed for both professional and home use, and comprises four cocktail glasses and one mixing glass, aiming to merge refined aesthetics with practical functionality.

The Bar/Giani range is the result of combining Nude’s industry expertise with Bargiani’s experience in high-end mixology (which has gained him accolades such as International Bartender of the Year at the 2023 Spirited Awards). Discussing the vision he contributed to the design process, Bargiani said: “I always try to find new ways to create a personalised drinking experience for my guests, and wanted to create elegant designs that didn’t just belong to one style or environment. Each person can make this glassware their own and adapt it to their own taste and place – whether serving up a classic like a Negroni or Martini or presenting a signature creation, I designed this collection with a vision to encourage people to express their own creativity, like I do with my own drinks and guests.”

The five-piece collection includes a martini glass, a short cocktail glass, a long cocktail glass, a long-stemmed cocktail glass and a mixing glass, all crafted from lead-free crystal, with a focus on durability, clarity and balance. The inclusion of a stem across all pieces – even those traditionally stemless – is a notable design feature intended to elevate the tactile and visual experience. The Bar/Giani martini glass features a curved design aimed at enhancing the drinking experience, while the highball-style long cocktail glass is designed to maintain a drink’s coolness. The short variant is intended for aromatic cocktails, and the long stem version is suited to lighter drinks. The accompanying mixing glass is mouth-blown and designed for ergonomic use.

This launch continues Nude’s approach to contemporary glassware design, which has previously involved collaborations with various international designers. The Bar/Giani collection is expected to appeal to both hospitality professionals and design-conscious consumers seeking functional yet elegant glassware.
